Your dog is so much more than a pet!

Located on the corner of Castle and Buitengracht Streets, we provide the definitive doggy daycare for Cape Town CBD professionals and residents of the Atlantic Seaboard. Our 750-square-meter secure urban dog park is the largest private dog social hub in the City Bowl.

Our MISSION

Africa's First Dog Hotel & Daycare: Setting the Standard of Care Since 2015.

We believe the highest level of care is a necessity, not a luxury. At atFrits, we provide the transparent, professional advocacy that every dog deserves.

Our experienced team lives and breathes 'dog.' As the original industry trendsetter featured on the front cover of the Wall Street Journal, atFrits has managed over 370 000 stays with the absolute peace of mind that only 24/7 live camera transparency can provide.

We are a community-driven family that knows every dog in our CBD and the Atlantic Seaboard by name - whether they are guests in our themes suites or beneficiaries of our Cape Town Pet Upliftment Project (CTPUP) in assocation with the SPCA.

Our goal is to create the safe, transparent environement that every dog requires:

  • Thrive under 24/7 expert visibility and care.
  • Be part of the original movement that defined South African dog care.
  • Receive the dignity, love and professional care they deserve.

A community dedicated to your dog's happiness & well-being
We know every dog living on the streets in our community by name, because at atFrits, we live and breathe 'dog'. As the original pioneer that launched Africa’s first 5-star dog hotel and daycare in 2015, we believe that an exceptional standard of care is a necessity, not a luxury, for every canine. Through our Cape Town Pet Upliftment Project (CTPUP), in association with the Cape of Good Hope SPCA, we have personally ensured that every dog living on the street with their owner in our community is sterilized and vaccinated. We don't see status or bank balances; we see dogs that deserve the very best. When you book with the industry leader, you are fueling the original movement that uplifted Cape Town’s entire dog community.

Don't just take our word for it

People are talking about us - and we appreciate any opportunity to raise awareness and help every dog to live a joyful and flourishing life.

They put our minds at ease and made the travel and settling in period that much easier knowing our fur baby was looked after. If you are ever looking for any sort of dog service do not look any further than Fritz Hotel. The best without a shadow of doubt.

We love @Fritz! Our boy Franklin simply adores all the staff and sometimes I feel has a best friend there over me! He is super excited to go in every day and when he comes home, passes out from all the playing which gives us time to wind down in the evenings.

We absolutely love going to @Frits Dog Hotel & Daycare. The convenience of early mornings and later evenings, the grooming parlour and one-stop-shop for my Lulu’s dietary needs! She loves going to “school”, she feels safe and enjoy all her friends. We can definitely recommend to anyone.

Their facilities are great - spacious and clean. Having access to the cameras 24/7 really puts me at ease, watching my dog having fun with other dogs. But what gives @Frits 5 stars is their staff - always attentive, friendly, and understandingFranklin the Yorkie loves it here!

COMMUNITY UPLIFTMENT

Empowering local seamstresses

We are committed to uplifting the local Cape Town community by empowering women with valuable skills. Our programme teaches women how to sew, starting with simple collar flags for every atFrits dog and progressing to bow ties and our signature canine couture. Our talented seamstresses are retired or retrenched, and we provide them with the tools and support they need to start their own businesses. Every piece of atFrits dog clothing sold provides sustainable income for these women and their families. We take pride in our efforts to make a difference in the lives of those
in our community.

CTPUP offers affordable vaccination, sterilisation, & microchipping for local pets

Sadly, many pet owners cannot afford annual vaccinations or the cost of sterilisation. As a community, we must come together to ensure that all pets receive the good healthcare they deserve. That is why atFrits, the Cape of Good Hope SPCA, and Identipet introduced CTPUP - The Cape Town Pet Upliftment Project.

CPUP is a project which provides affordable pet care services to pet owners from disadvantaged backgrounds from only R600 from atFrits, your local vet, and selected pet stores.

  • Sterilisation: R400
  • *Microchip: R100
  • *Vaccination: R100

*To qualify for microchip and vaccination, all pets must be sterilised per CoGH SPCA Regulations.

You can help a pet owner by purchasing a voucher during the month as part of the initiative. On Wednesdays, vouchers can be redeemed at the SPCA Mobile Unit at atFrits.

Free spa sessions for the local heroes of GP/OKCID

GP/OKCID are non-profit companies collaborating with the South African Police Service (SAPS) and the City of Cape Town to ensure that residents and visitors are safe in their community. The organisation provides security services to prevent criminal activity and relies on the assistance of dogs to patrol the streets at night. These dogs are our local heroes and to show them our appreciation, atFrits has offered the hard-working team free dog spa sessions since 2017. We welcome the dogs to visit us anytime they need to relax and recharge.
